5 Ways To Mentally Shift From A Lack Mindset To An Abundance Mindset
Making the mental shift from lack to abundance is very crucial to your success personally and professionally. Once I made the mental shift my life changed so much for the better. I didn’t realize that my mindset was a lack mindset, to be honest. That’s what was hurting me. I knew that I needed to change my mindset or my life was going to continue to be the same. I didn’t want that because I knew my life could be better. I want to share with you how I made the shift and how you can do the same to catapult your life for the better.
Let’s start with the definition of the word shift. Shift according to Google is a move or cause to move from one place to another, especially over a small distance; a slight change in position, direction, or tendency. When I read this it lowered my anxiety. It allowed me to realize that my shift does not have to be drastic but it must happen.
1. Believe that your life has to be better than what it currently is.
If you are not happy with the way your current life is you have to believe that life can and will be better.
2. Know that you are not your current circumstance.
You may be in a bad place right now mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Know that your current circumstances will not last forever. That they can and will change.
3. You have to have a made up mind.
Once you made a decision to change you will begin to attract opportunities that will position you for the change you want to see.
4. Look at your challenges and adversities as God’s way of asking you how bad do you really want it.
I used to look at challenges in a discouraging way. In my mind, I shouldn’t have challenges if this was something God really wanted me to do. So at the first sight of challenges, I figured this situation was definitely not for me. I had to start looking at my challenges as the enemy trying to stop me from achieving my goals because once I did my confidence would increase, my belief would be bigger, and my faith would be the size of a watermelon and not a mustard seed. Changing my mindset helped me to push through no matter what my challenges were and proved to God that I wanted this as much as I said I did!
5. Intentionally focus on your goals so much so that nothing and no one can get in the way.
Don’t let anyone, not even you get in the way of your goals. It doesn’t matter what is happening. Address it and then get back to work. You have no time for anything other than what you’re supposed to be doing to better your mindset and your life overall.
When I adopted these mindset shifts into my life the abundance was so real. I had no idea that just shifting my mindset like this would position me for all of the amazing things that have happened in my life. My confidence increased, my self-esteem, my love for myself and my belief totally transformed. I am so thankful for this new mindset and I pray that you adopt this into your life. It will help you to make the switch so that you can become the woman you are destined to become.
